Nellie Thomas Group provides Undergraduate Scholarships for Australian citizens in the field of Medicine or Health at Griffith University in Australia. The Nellie Thomas Scholarship was founded in 2008 in memory of Nellie Bertha (McDowell) Baker and Thomas McDowell. The aim of the Scholarship is to assist an indigenous student studying in the field of Medicine/Health. The scholarship will financially assist applicants on low incomes with additional cost associated with university.
All candidates interested in applying for the scholarship must be studying in the field of Medicine/Health at Griffith University, be an Indigenous Australian or Torres Strait Islander, demonstrate financial disadvantage by being in receipt of a means-tested Commonwealth income support payment (such as ABSTUDY, Youth Allowance) or by a comprehensive assessment completed by Griffith University.
