Griffith University’s Sir Samuel Griffith scholarships scheme is one of Australia’s most comprehensive, generous and flexible scholarship programs for academic excellence. Griffith is offering Sir Samuel Griffith scholarships to outstanding students commencing an undergraduate degree in 2012. If you’re a high achiever, Griffith wants to reward and acknowledge your efforts via the Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship. Applicants with a score of OP1 to 3 (UAI 99.95-96.00 or equivalent) are eligible to apply, however, applicants expecting an OP4 to 6 (UAI 95.50-90.00 or equivalent) with exceptional personal achievements are also encouraged to apply. Successful Sir Samuel Griffith scholarship recipients are automatically given membership to the Griffith Honours College.
Designed for high achieving students, the Honours College will provide enriching experiences exclusive to the College where students will develop skills in high demand by employers – leadership, teamwork, communication, community engagement, intellectual curiosity and the development of research and work skills. Valued at approximately $20 000 each scholarship, the Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship covers up to four years of study. Successful applicants will receive cash benefit: $6600 in the first year of study and $4500 a year for subsequent years up to a total of four years of study, based on full-time academic load in an undergraduate Program.
Applicants must have met relevant School or Faculty entry requirements for admission to a Bachelors degree program on a full-time basis.
Scholarship Application Deadline: 18 November 2011.
