EPA AUSTRIA 2011 is organised by the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), which is the largest international association of psychiatrists in Europe, with members from over 71 countries. The Congress will take place in Vienna, Austria, 12-15 March, 2011. Deadline for applications: October 15, 2010. The congress theme Translating Research Into Care strives to highlight the combination of a highly scientific programme with practical symposia and lectures. The congress provides a platform for psychiatrists across all specialities to meet, discuss and learn about advances in a range of psychiatry and neuropsychiatry fields. Clinicians and researchers of all ages are encouraged to engage in the exchange of knowledge and join the professional network.
Abstracts must be submitted via this website. Faxed abstracts will not be considered. Please read the rules of submission before submitting your abstract.
All accepted abstracts will be published online in Elsevier’s premium scientific journal, EUROPEAN PSYCHIATRY as well as on this website.
Rules for submission to the 19th European Congress of Psychiatry
o The Congress Abstract CD-ROM (published by Elsevier) will include plenary lectures, symposium abstracts and all accepted oral and poster presentations.
o The Local Organizing Committee will review abstracts. Following this information regarding acceptance, and scheduling will be sent to the abstract submitter.
o All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university specific publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission.
o Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by January 5, 2011 will be scheduled and included in the Abstract CD-ROM.

o Methods
o Results
o Conclusions

o Tables – A maximum of 3 tables of up to 10 rows x 10 columns can be included per abstract
o Graphs and images – It is important to note that each image included in the abstract is worth 30 words. A maximum of 3 images can be included per abstract.
The maximum file size of each graph/image is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the graph/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel. You may upload graphs in JPG format only.
o Draft abstracts – The submission form at the link below allows you to store your abstract as a draft in order to make changes. Please note that abstracts must be SUBMITTED before the deadline in order to be sent to review for inclusion in the Scientific Programme.
Registration fees apply to payments received prior to the indicated deadlines. € 375 to € 745. Fees for participants include:
