The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation provides scholarships up to $30,000 per year to approximately 60 deserving students selected annually. Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees – for the final two to three years necessary to achieve a bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility:
1. Be a current student at an accredited US community college or two-year institution with sophomore status by December 31, 2011, OR a recent graduate (since Spring 2007),
2. Plan to enroll full-time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in fall 2012,
3. Have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.50 or better on a 4.0 scale,
4. Be nominated by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Faculty Representative at his or her two-year institution,
5. Have significant unmet financial need (must apply the 2011-2012 FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and include Pierce College’s Federal School Code of 001226), and
6. Have not previously been nominated for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.
