The 17th Commonwealth Law Conference is anticipated that over 1,000 lawyers, judges, and legal academics from 54 Commonwealth countries will attend. The diverse business programme will cover human rights and the rule of law, corporate and commercial law and the legal and judicial professions.

The conference will provide an important opportunity for legal practitioners from across the Commonwealth to come together and develop their legal knowledge, skills and contacts in one of the most enchanting and culturally-rich countries of the world. This will be the first time that the CLA will host an event in India since 1971.

The theme of the conference is ‘Emerging Economies and the Rule of Law: Challenges & Opportunities’ which reflects our rapidly changing world and the ongoing challenges to lawyers to keep abreast of developments and to maintain the Rule of Law. The programme streams will focus on Human Rights & the Rule of Law; Corporate & Commercial Law; Legal & Judicial Profession and other contemporary legal topics, addressed by leading lawyers from the Commonwealth.  The conference will offer high-profile keynote addresses, an exhibition and a number of satellite meetings hosted by other Commonwealth and legal associations which will take place in the wings of the conference.

A unique programme of social and networking events has been designed to ensure that all attendees will have an opportunity to savour some of India’s delights and to meet colleagues from different jurisdictions, exchange experiences, renew old friendships and build new ones that will continue long after the closing ceremony.

The official language of the meeting is English.

Registration fee for different participates is from 450$ to 1840$.
