The "Short Term Fellowships“ sponsor promising young scientists from the biosciences who would like to work at an institute abroad. Duration of fellowships is from two weeks to three months. Living expenses per day is 70 Evro. The "Human Frontier Science Programme" supports basic research in investigating the complex mechanisms of the human organism. A doctorate is a prerequisite. Young scientists are particularly welcome. 31 states participate in the program. Research work can be carried out at a research institution in any of these countries. Scholarship holders receive financial support, the level of which depends on the respective host country and the duration of the visit. Costs for travel to and from the host institute are also covered.
